What investment are you willing to make?
“He who tends a fig tree will eat its fruit, and he who looks after his master will be honored.” ~Proverbs 27:18
I have heard it said before, “Be careful for what you pray for. Don’t pray for patience, because then you are put in situations where you will need patience”. Forgive my blunt reaction to this, but what a foolish statement. Are we really so afraid of challenging situations, hard work, etc… that we are willing to forego the blessings that are for us and others because we would rather remain comfortable?
I was reading Proverbs 27 today and came across verse 18, which I very much related to. For I am one who enjoys gardening. The idea of having fresh vegetables and herbs is definitely something I appreciate. But to enjoy it, means a lot of hard work, sometimes a few failures and lessons along the way! But the end result has always been worth it!
Sometimes the opportunities in front of you aren’t always wide open doors, sometimes they are unlocked doors and you literally have to turn that doorknob and walk through.
So we have a choice. Are you going to stand there? Or are you ready to make an investment, put forth effort, ready to embrace Life to it’s fullest?
I’m to choosing to walk through…
